2016

The idea of this piece of work is to make a phone speaker without electronic equipment. On the basis of this request, I would like to make a Japanese garden style speaker. In other words, I hope to be able to add some of the concept of architecture to my design, so my cell phone look like a people “living” in my design.

Process

1. After completing the drawing. I chose walnut as my material Then I polished a giant piece of walnut and cut out the pieces I wanted.

2. It is very important to correctly cut all the piece that I want. Then I cut out the pattern of the front by laser cut.

3. After all the parts and patterns are cut, I started to glue them together.

4. After the basic shape came out, I started to sand their surfaces with sandpaper.

5. Finally, I used Danish oil as finish to protect the surface.
